Registration (Municipal of Aachen)

If you live and stay in Aachen you have to register at the nwohnermeldeamt as a citizen of the city of Aachen. After you have rented a room, you have to register at the following locations within one week:

For registration the following documents are required: the rental contract or subtenancy contract and your passport with the entry visa (Visa for study purposes). With the official registration certificate you can apply at the Department of Foreign Affairs for the residence permit.
