Semester ticket / Profi ticket

Every enrolled RWTH-student, except the guest or second studies students, receives the semester ticket with the student ID card.  The ticket price is included in the social contribution package.
The semester ticket enables you to  the unlimited use of public bus and train transport within the entire combined Aachen transport authority (AVV). This also includes the cross-border services of the bus lines to Vaals, Kelmis and Kerkrade.

For train travel you can use free-of-charge all RE / RB / S – trains between the Aachen - Düren – Köln main station and the Aachen - Wegberg / MG – Herrath – Düsseldorf main station.

The semester ticket is only valid in combination with an official ID card or international student ID card with a signature.

In case of ticket loss you can apply for a new ID card at the student secretary. The local public bus transport company ASEAG (Aachener Straßenbahn und Energieversorgungs – AG) provides a pre-limenary transport card, if the student can show a valid registration certificate.
