Dining Halls and Cafeterias

Students at RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen have 8 dining halls and 9 cafeterias to choose from. Some serve both breakfast and lunch, while others serve just lunch. All the eating facilities are run by the Aachen Student Union.

You can find out the opening hours and locations of the eating facilities here.

This map of Aachen will also show you their locations.

Libraries

In addition to the main library (Zentralbibliothek), each of the RWTH’s departments has its own library as well. Currently, there is no universal library card for all the university’s facilities. With few exceptions, you need to acquire a separate library card from each branch you want to borrow books. For more details (as well as for opening times, which tend to vary from library to library), check at the respective branch.

On the main library of the home page you can search the library’s catalogue and reserve books online, provided you have a library card.

You can find an overview of all the department libraries here.

AStA (Student Union)

The job of the AStA of the RWTH and the FH Aachen is to represent student interests in Aachen.
