KONGSAK from THAILAND

Three years ago I moved from Thailand to Germany. I am 26 years old and my major studies are in Automotive Engineering at the RWTH. I would like to graduate from the RWTH in Germany, because of the international recognition / reputation of this particular university. Through my studies I get great opportunities to increase my knowledge of Germany.

At the very beginning of my study time I missed the smile on the faces of the people. After a while I realised that Germans do not smile as often as Thai people do, but indeed the more you get to know a German the more open and friendly he or she becomes.
Und ich habe die Erfahrung gemacht, dass es besonders einfach ist im Wohnheim Kontakt zu deutschen Kommilitonen zu bekommen. Ich empfehle deshalb internationalen Studierenden sich rechtzeitig um einen der begehrten Wohnheimsplätze zu bewerben.
Living in a student residence building especially provides plenty of contacts for German students. I highly recommend all international students to apply as soon as possible for one of the highly demanded rooms.
For all Thai students I have special advice: Join the community of Thai students – the members take care of new students and create a 'home-from-home' feeling.
