RAHIB from AZERBAIJAN
I come from Azerbaijan and have been taking European Studies (postgraduate) in Aachen since 2003.
I am convinced that Aachen, located in the 'Heart of Europe', offers the best conditions for my specialisation. The experience of living and studying for more than two years in Aachen supports my impression: Aachen is a great city with great people. What I like best about my studies in Germany is the space and the freedom, as well as the lectures and seminars, motivating me to continue with the learning experience on my own.
I would like to advise foreign students to arrive as early as possible before the start of their studies. Then they would have sufficient time to find fitting housing and get aquainted with the city and the different way of life.
Naturally it takes time to understand all the rules, which are to my surprise followed by all Germans. The little things in daily life and the idioms are traits that nobody can learn in a language training course.
