Travelling

The city of Aachen is located near to the borders of 'Belgium, Germany and Netherlands' and offers plenty of travel opportunities to discover Europe.

Students from EU-countries can travel to all member countries of the European Union. Students from non-EU countries can stay up to 90 days in the Schengen states, if they have a residence permit for Germany. The following countries belong to the Schengen States: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Sweden and Spain.

The residence permit has to be noted in your passport or to be available as a paper visa with a valid passport.

If you are travelling in Europe, pls. return to Germany before your residence permit expires, otherwise you’ll need a new visa to enter Germany.
