SOKRATES/ERASMUS
Sokrates is the EU education program. This program covers the entire area of general education.
The largest sub-program within Sokrates is named ERASMUS (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) and focusses on university education.
The program offers European students an exchange program in European countries for the maximum duration of one academic year.

TIME
The abbreviation TIME stands for Top Industrial Managers for Europe and is a dual diploma program. In co-operation with the école centrale Paris the program is designed for students with European citizenship, who are enrolled at the RWTH for Mechanical Engineering , Geo Resources and Material Technology or Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
After the pre-diploma the students continue their studies at the French partner university, before they complete the main study period. At the successfull completion the German and the French diploma degree will be awarded.

UNITECH
A co-operation of European companies and leading European universities promotes the UNITECH program in order to provide Engineer sciences, physics and Information technology as a detailed additional education.
The training covers modules of economics and engineer technology as well as an internship in management of one of the member companies of the UNITECH network.

IDEA-LEAGUE
The IDEA-LEAGUE is an entity of four European universities:
- Imperial College London
- Technical University Delft
- Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich
- RWTH Aachen
The universities foster the exchange of students within the engineering sciences:
- either for a defined period within the main study period
- or after the Bachelor-qualification at the home university to aim for the Master degree

EuMI – European Master in Information Technology
The EuMI-Program is offered by a co-operation of three European universities: University of Trento (Italy), Rheinisch Westfaelisch Technical University Aachen (RWTH, Germany) and University of Edinburgh (Scotland).
The two-year master program targets students of Information Technology. The studies take place in sections at two of the three Universities. Therefore each student receives two degrees. The main focus of the studies is on Net-Centric Informatics, Life-Science Informatics and Embedded Systems Informatics.
Every year 30 students can take part in this program. Requirements: Pre-diploma in Information technology or related sciences, special interest in the content of studies and good English language skills (oral and writen), because the course language is English.

GERMAN-CHINESE UNIVERSITY-PROGAM between RWTH Aachen and Tsinghua-University Beijing
Both universites offer the new Master Programs Production Engineering and Automotive Engineering. The program includes a one-year stay at the related partner university. Open to all interested RWTH-Students.
