Daycare Centre 'Pusteblume', Schillerstreet
While the parents focus on their studies, we take care of their children. Since summer 2000 the daycare centre 'Pusteblume' is host of 45 children in 3 age-mixed groups (range: 4 months to school start). The building is located in the Schillerstreet 10, with a large garden and very close to 'Hangeweiher Park'.
Main goals of our pedagogic approach: The childern should feel comfortable and enjoy their stay in the center. Every child is different – we welcome the differences and support the individual human being. Also we would like to enable the children to understand certain rules.
We enrich the development of personality and social competence in the everyday life. The daycare centre provides an experiental learning environment which has a positive impact on social behavior, perception of social relations, ability to manage confrontations and to solve conflicts and fosters in addition the curiosity and the joy of life.
Hours of operation
From Monday to Thursday 7:30 - 16:15 o'clock and Friday 7:30 15:45 o'clock.
You can bring your children between 7:30 and 9:30 o'clock.
After the breakfast we start from 9:30 onwards with group activities like playing, creative handicrafts, garden program or excursions to the city woods. At 11:30 o'clock the tailor-made lunch will be served by 'Mensa service Eupener Street'. The following 'siesta hour' includes reading possibilities. Afterwards we prepare with fruits and soft drinks for the afternoon activities: handicrafts, painting, constructing, climbing, bobbycar driving or adventure tours in the garden. We are initiating as well parents-children excursions and several seasonal events.
We are a well-established team of accredited childhood educators, child carers and one pediatric nurse, (age range: from 22 to 52 years). Wir contribute on daily bases with our pedagogic ideas and experience. The good mood, high work commitment and active listening are always included.
